Imagination Technologies Group plc (IMG.L) announced it has signed a license agreement with Cavium Inc. (CAVM) for the 5 MIPS architecture. Imagination will receive license fees and royalty revenues on shipment of SoCs incorporating Imagination's IP.
Cavium will feature the MIPSr5 technologies, including hardware virtualization, in all members of its ultra-high-performance 1 - 48 core OCTEON III family of products.
