A plane carrying former President George W. Bush was forced to make an emergency landing over the weekend, CNN reports.
The plane was traveling from Philadelphia and back to Bush's hometown Dallas, but stopped in Kentucky. Crews reportedly smelled smoke coming from the cockpit.
The pilot diverted the plane safely in Louisville. Bush eventually made it back to Dallas the following morning.
There is no word yet on what caused the smell of smoke.
The former president made an appearance at the First Tee Greater Philadelphia fundraiser, a youth development organization that provides educational programs by playing golf. Philadelphia hosted the U.S. Open golf championship this weekend.
