The U.K. house price figures for April, inflation data and output prices for May are due at 4:30 am ET Tuesday. The pound showed mixed trading against other major currencies before the data. While the pound held steady against the greenback, it was up against the yen. Against the euro and franc, the pound fell.
At 4:25 am ET, the pound was worth 1.5676 against the greenback, 149.29 against the yen, 1.4448 against the franc and 0.8534 against the euro.
