European Economics Preview: BoE Minutes Due

The minutes of the latest monetary policy meeting of the Bank of England is due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, the National Institute of Economic Research is set to release Sweden's economic tendency survey data. The index is seen rising to 92.8 in June from 91.9 in May.

Half an hour later, Sweden's unemployment data is due. The jobless rate is forecast to rise to 8.8 percent in May from 8.7 percent in April.

At 4.30 am ET, the Bank of England is set to release the minutes of the final policy meeting of Governor Mervyn King, held on June 5 and 6. The Monetary Policy Committee maintained the size of quantitative easing at GBP 375 billion and the key interest rate at a record low 0.50 percent.

At 5.00 am ET, Switzerland's ZEW survey is due.

At 8.00 am ET, Poland's statistical office is set to release industrial output and producer prices for May. Economists forecast output to fall 1.9 percent annually after rising 2.7 percent in April. Producer prices are forecast to ease 2.5 percent year-on-year, compared to 2 percent fall in the prior month.
