Results of Switzerland's ZEW survey showed that the headline index rose 2.2 percent in June, unchanged from last month.
The Swiss franc held steady against its major rivals after the report. As of 5:02 am ET, the franc was trading at 0.9205 against the dollar, 103.21 against the yen, 1.4372 against the pound and 1.2327 against the euro.
