La-Z-Boy Inc. (LZB) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.33 after the close Tuesday, down from $0.37 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.28. Sales improved 9.8 percent to $359.5 million from $327.39 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $357.67 million.
La-Z-Boy gapped open lower Wednesday, but climbed during the early portion of the afternoon. The stock closed down by 0.51 at $19.77 on strong volume. La-Z-Boy pulled back slightly from the highs of the year.
