An Ontario man is facing criminal charges this week for allegedly stealing women's underwear over a twelve-year period. The as-yet-unnamed suspect is believed to have carried out as many as five robberies in the Morris-Turnberry and Huron East areas of the province, reports the CBC.
Authorities in Huron East first responded to the unusual breaking and entering call in 2001, when they discovered that they only missing items from the scene were women's underwear. Since then they have followed a number of similar incidents and made an arrest earlier this week.
"Officers have been investigating and piecing it together along the way, building a case against this person of interest which turned into a suspect and ultimately we made our arrest on Tuesday June 17th," media Constable James Stanley told the CBC.
