Ice Cube's Man Down debuted at No. 8 on Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart dated December 7, giving the rap legend his first solo entry in the top ten in 14 years.
Man Down, which arrived on November 22 via Lench Mob/Hitmaker Music Group, earned 20,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the tracking week ending November 28, according to Luminate.
Of this, album sales total 15,000 units, making the record the second-highest-selling rap album of the week after Kendrick Lamar's GNX, which sold 32,000 units.
Man Down debuted at No. 9 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart.
Ice Cube now has four solo top 10 on the Top Rap Albums chart. His first entry into the Top 10 Rap Albums list came in 2006 through Laugh Now, Cry Later, which rose to No. 2 on the chart. Raw Footag peaked at No. 1 on the chart in 2008, and I am the West rose to No. 6 in 2010.
