Actuate Therapeutics Inc. (ACTU), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing therapies for the treatment of difficult-to-treat cancers, has a clinical trial milestone this quarter that could be critical to its future.

The company's lead drug candidate is Elraglusib (formerly 9-ING-41), a Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3 Beta (GSK-3ß) inhibitor. GSK-3ß is an enzyme that plays a role in various cellular functions like cell growth and division. By blocking this enzyme, Elraglusib may help to slow down or stop the growth of cancer cells.
