Monday, Minrad International, Inc. (BUF), an interventional pain management company, announced that it has received marketing approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration center for veterinary medicine for Petrem, a trademark of Sevoflurane inhalation anesthetic.
Sevoflurane is used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia.
The Orchard Park, New York-based company also stated that earlier this week, it started US product launch to the veterinary market.
BUF closed Monday's regular trading session at $1.96, down $0.02 or 1.01%.
