Savvis Inc. (SVVS) Tuesday revealed a three-year deal with Cognisco Inc. to provide the company with increased security and 24x7 support to its international customer base.
Under the deal, Savvis will provide a combination of managed IT services to Cognisco and will also manage Cognisco's network and data security. The company said that the utility model would support business growth, time-to-market and customer security demands.
Savvis believes Cognisco would be benefited from its expertise in managed hosting and network services and its global footprint of data centres spanning Europe, North America and Asia.
The deal is expected to help Cognisco to offer its multi-national client base 24 hour assessment and IT support across multiple geographies and time zones to fulfil customer demand and broaden the reach of Cognisco's product portfolio.
SVVS is currently trading at $12.51, down 40 cents or 3.10%.
