Monday, home appliances manufacturer Whirlpool Corp. (WHR) announced that David Szczupak would succeed Mike Thieneman, who recently retired from the company, as Executive Vice President, Global Product Organization.
The company noted that Szczupak, in his role as executive vice president, Global Product Organization, would provide overall leadership to Whirlpool's global product businesses and strategic sourcing.
Prior to joining Whirlpool, Szczupak served as chief operating officer of Dura Automotive Systems in Rochester Hills, Mich., an automotive supplier, where he provided strategic direction for product development, purchasing, manufacturing and quality.
"Dave has established himself as a global business leader with an impressive track record of significant, transformative improvements in leveraging scale while driving improvements in both productivity and product quality. His experience will strengthen our ability to accelerate our improved product results," said Jeff Fettig, Whirlpool CEO.
Whirlpool is currently trading at $62.79, up $0.10 or 0.16%.
