Shares of Church & Dwight (CHD) dropped steadily throughout most of the session on Thursday although it pared some of its loss in the final two hours of the day. The stock closed down $3.25 at $49.70 on heavy volume.
With the more than 6% decline, the stock moved firmly below its 200-day moving average to set an eight month closing low.
