Tuesday, Eastman Chemical Company (EMN) said that Richard Lorraine will step down as the chief financial officer, and named Curtis Espeland as the successor. The manufacturer and marketer of chemicals also unveiled several other senior management level changes.
The company said Richard Lorraine will retire as senior vice president and chief financial officer effective September 1. Curtis Espeland, currently vice president, finance and chief accounting officer will succeed Lorraine. Lorraine will remain with the company until the end of the year performing in various roles and special projects, the company said.
Scott King will replace Espeland as chief accounting officer effective September 1, in addition to continuing in his current position of vice president and controller, the company added.
Eastman Chemical also announced the retirement of Gregory Nelson as executive vice president and polymers business group head, effective August 1. Mark Costa, currently senior vice president, corporate strategy and marketing, will assume Nelson's position and become executive vice president. He will be responsible for the polymers business group, as well as marketing.
In addition, the company announced the appointment of Ronald Lindsay as senior vice president, corporate strategy and regional leadership effective August 1. In this role, he will oversee the industrial gasification initiatives. Lindsay is currently senior vice president and chief technology officer.
Eastman Chemical said it named the senior vice president, human resources, communications and public affairs Norris Sneed as senior vice president and chief administrative officer effective September 1, and he will be responsible for human resources, communications and public affairs and information technology.
Gregory Nelson, currently vice president, corporate technology, will assume the position of senior vice president and chief technology officer effective August 1.
EMN closed Monday's regular trading session at $66.41.
