International Royalty Corp. (ROY, IRC.TO) on Monday announced the closing of the Australian royalties from the company's December 2007 acquisition of the Rio Tinto royalty portfolio, following receipt of the Australian Foreign Investment Review Board approval and the expiration of all existing first rights of refusals.
These first rights of refusal existed on the Bell Creek and Merlin Orbit royalties. Completion of this transaction brings International Royalty's total royalty count to about 80 royalties.
