Following news of an upcoming joint venture with The Campbell Group, Plum Creek Timber Co. Inc. (PCL) gapped open higher on Thursday and rose to a range within the first two and a half hours of trading.
The stock ended the session at $51.09 up $4.31 from Wednesday's close.
The advance came on above average volume and took the stock over recent resistance and to a new high.
