Shares of Privatebancorp (PVTB) traded with a lack of direction throughout most of the session on Monday, until the final few minutes of the day, when it moved sharply higher on a spike of volume. The stock closed at its intraday high, up $2.30 at $43.50.
With the more than 5% gain, the stock set a two year closing high.
