Cell Genesys (CEGE) tumbled in pre-market trading, after announcing the termination of its VITAL-1 phase 3 trial of GVAX immunotherapy for prostate cancer based on the outcome of a futility analysis and reporting the preliminary analysis of VITAL-2 trial results.
The stock was down 41 cents just after 8:50 am ET, plummeting to 19 cents. If pre-market losses hold, the stock will open at a new low.
