Thursday, low cost airline, easyJet Plc (EZJ.L) reported a 1.4 percentage point increase in the load factor and an 18.4% growth in passengers for the month of October.
Load factor, which represents the number of passengers as a proportion to the number of seats, rose 1.4 percentage points to 83.9% from 82.5% in October 2007.
Passengers that represent the number of earned seats flown increased 18.4% to 3.96 million from 3.34 million in the previous year.
In September, the company had reported 1.8 percentage point rise in load factor and 22.1% growth in passenger count. Load factor rose to 86.9% from 85.2% in the previous year. The number of passengers grew to 4.2 million from 3.4 million in the same month a year ago.
For the rolling month period to October, easyJet posted a load factor rise of 0.5 percentage point to 84.2% from 83.7% last year. Total passengers were 44.27 million, up 17.6% from 37.64 million in the previous year.
EZJ.L closed Wednesday's regular trading session on the London Stock Exchange at 305.50 pence, down 12.00 pence, or 3.78%, on a volume of 3.13 million shares.
