Monday, BioSolar Inc. (BSRC.OB) announced that it has filed for worldwide patent protection of its proprietary BioBacksheet.
According to company, BioBacksheet is first solar cell backsheet made from renewable plant based materials, rather than expensive and environmentally unfriendly petroleum-based alternatives presently in use.
BioSolar stated that the patent protection has been sought through the World Intellectual Property Organization with the Patent Cooperation Treaty to ensure full protection outside the U.S. on the BioBacksheet technology.
