US Dollar Spikes Up Against Major Rivals

The US currency spiked up further against major opponents during early Asian deals on Friday. The greenback climbed to new multi-day highs against the euro, Swiss franc, Aussie, Kiwi and the Canadian dollar.

Extending Thursday New York session's uptrend, the greenback ticked up further against the major currencies in today's early Asian deals. At around 5:50 pm ET, the dollar jumped up to new multi-day highs of 1.3931 against the euro, 1.0912 versus the Swiss franc, 0.7905 against the Australian dollar, 0.6267 versus the kiwi and 131640 against the loonie, which may be compared to yesterday's closing values of 1.4004, 1.0847, 0.7940, 0.6286 and 1.1633, respectively.
