Ozzy Osbourne married his current wife Sharon on July 4, 1982. The pair first met when Sharon was working for her father, Don Arden, who was Black Sabbath’s manager. She became Ozzy’s full-time manager after he split from Black Sabbath in 1979 and they began dating soon after. At the time, Ozzy was married to a woman named Thelma Riley, with whom he had three children. Ozzy and Sharon began dating while he was still married to Thelma and he proposed to her in 1981. They married immediately after the divorce was finalized during a stopover in Hawaii while headed to Japan for a tour. Sharon recalls the wedding in her biography “Sharon Osbourne Extreme: My Autobiography”:“I hardly had any time to get a wedding dress, but I went to a place on Sunset. It was very traditional, long ivory silk decorated with pearls. It was a bit too long for me, but with no time to alter it, I just had to pin it in at the back. For Ozzy I got a white suit and a lavender shirt.”
