Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and Hole frontwoman Courtney Love, was born on August 18, 1992. Her first name comes from the guitarist of the the Vaselines and her middle name comes from the shape she resembled on the ultrasound. Frances, the couple’s only child, barely got to know her father – he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1994 – and her mother has suffered through drug problems and generally erratic behavior. Frances, who Love claims was offered the lead role in the "Twilight" movies, has battled with her mother in court and was placed under the temporary guardianship of her grandmother and her aunt.
