Biotech Stocks Facing FDA Decision In February

The FDA is slated to announce its decision on whether to approve Plenvu, a novel, low-volume (1-litre) polyethylene glycol-based bowel preparation for cleansing of the colon in preparation of colonoscopy, on February 13, 2018.

Plenvu was licensed by Norgine B.V. to Salix Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (VRX) (VRX.TO) in August 2016.

Plenvu is approved for use in Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, The Netherlands and in the UK.

VRX closed Thursday’s (Jan.25) trading at $19.71, down 0.86%.
