1969 - 'Led Zeppelin II' Released

Led Zeppelin released their second studio album on October 22, 1969. The LP, called simply ‘Led Zeppelin II,’ featured classics like "Whole Lotta Love" and "Ramble On."

The songs were created while the band was on tour behind their successful self-titled debut, which came out early in 1969. The band spent time in various studios during the year to put the LP together, with guitarist Jimmy Page handling the producer duties.

The album would reach number one in the U.S. before the end of the year, the first Zeppelin album to accomplish this.
