Tempur-Pedic International (TPX) reported third quarter EPS of $0.34 after the bell Thursday, which came in above the consensus estimate of $0.26. The company now expects to report full year 2009 EPS between $1.00 and $1.05, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.87. Tempur-Pedic International gapped open higher Friday, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. The stock finished up by $1.54 at $22.25 on the highest volume in 4 months. Shares have been rising over the last week and a half and closed at a new high for the year.
