Information technology distributor and enterprise-class solutions provider Arrow Enterprise Computing Solution, a business segment of Arrow Electronics Inc. (ARW), announced Monday that it will provide its BlueTouch Technical Support services for Blue Coat Systems solutions to United Kingdom also, apart from North America and Israel operations. Separately, the company announced that TADASoft has certified it a distribution partner for its network solution, Restorepoint. Financial terms of the deals were undisclosed.
Andy Bryant, president, Arrow, said, "Providing services that complement our technology offerings is one way that Arrow Enterprise is helping suppliers manage their distribution network and helping resellers capture more revenue."
Arrow enunciated that resellers can now offer Blue Coat hardware, software and services as one complete solution for their customers, which increases the chances of purchase of BlueTouch services since it is packed as a single unit. Further, resellers can elevate the price and hence augment their revenue potential.
The company added that any reseller or end user who has resold Blue Coat technology from Arrow's DNS Arrow group in the U.K. can also resell Arrow's certified BlueTouch technical hardware and software support on Blue Coat products.
The company also offers certified BlueTouch support in North America through its Alternative Technology Group and Israel through its REL group and resells standard BlueTouch support from Blue Coat in Denmark, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
In a separate press release, Arrow Enterprise's DNS Arrow group announced that TADASoft has certified it a distribution partner for its network solution, Restorepoint, which is only available through DNS Arrow and not through direct sales.
As per the deal, DNS Arrow will recruit and manage the Restorepoint channel in the U.K.
Rory Nolan, director of TADASoft, said, "As DNS Arrow has many large security vendors already in their portfolio, our product will be an easy add-on, at very high margins."
On Jun 26, Arrow Enterprise announced that it became the first distributor in the channel to offer the technology to support online communities and social networking under an agreement with the online community and social software solutions provider IGLOO Software.
