The Stone Temple Pilots have announced plans to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of their debut release Core.
In recent interview with Fox News, frontman Scott Weiland revealed that the band will release a box set and a coffee table book. They also plan to record a new album and hit the road.
"Well, we're doing a lot of special things. [There's] a lot of archival footage that we're putting together, a coffee table book, hopefully a brand new album - so many ideas. A box set and then a tour, of course," Weiland explained.
In addition to the Core celebration, Weiland also chatted about his new holiday album The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
"Basically, when I wake up on Christmas morning with my family, and we start out with Philadelphia philharmonic . . . playing stuff that's fairly reminiscent of what I sang in choir, expect all instrumental. Then, [as a kid], after my parents would wake up and have a few cups of coffee, it would move into '40s and '30s jazz standards," he said.
