Sudha Narayana Murthy Sells Stake In Infosys For Rs.430 Cr.

Infosys Technologies' co-founder Narayana Murthy's wife Sudha Murthy sold 20-lakh shares owned by her in the company for Rs.430.37 crore on the Bombay Stock Exchange, media reports said. The sale reduced her stake in Infosys to 1.27% from 1.62%.

In a regulatory filing, the company said the proceeds of the sale would be utilized as a corpus for Catamaran, a Venture Capital Fund being set up by Narayana Murthy in India, to help young entrepreneurs in their business, primarily in India. Last month Narayana Murthy sold 0.13% of his 0.55% stake in the company to raise Rs.174 crore to invest in Catamaran.

Murthys' daughter Akshata and son Rohan hold 1.41% and 1.39% stake in Infosys, respectively.
