Courtney Love has temporarily lost legal guardianship of her daughter, 17-year-old Frances Bean Cobain. The reason for the custody change is not clear at this time.
Court documents show that guardianship of the teenager was awarded to two of Kurt Cobain's family members. The late Nirvana frontman's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and his sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, now have temporary custody of Frances Bean.
Legal experts say that the move does not necessarily mean that Love has completely lost custody. A hearing on the matter has been set for next February.
However, there have been signs of even more strange behavior for the famously erratic Love. Recently, she accused Britney Spears' father of molesting the pop princess - an allegation that a spokesperson for Spears has equated to a claim that aliens have come to Earth to impregnate people.
The Hole singer was reportedly not present for the hearing that ended with her losing guardianship of her daughter.
