Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (TEVA) said that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has affirmed a District Court's decision that the company's generic version of Takeda's Prevacid (lansoprazole) SoluTab does not infringe any patent.
Teva's abbreviated new drug application to market lansoprazole orally disintegrating tablets is currently pending final approval at the FDA.
Annual sales of the brand product were about $513 million in the United States, based on IMS sales data.
