Though the Jonas Brothers are currently on hiatus from musical endeavors, rumor has it that Joe Jonas is keeping busy on the set of ABC's hit series Brothers and Sisters. The singer is said to have accepted a role as the younger version of Balthazar Getty's character, Tommy, MTV.com reports.

Jonas will reportedly be appearing in two episodes of the drama, which will also feature Rachel Leigh Cook in the role of the young Nora Walker, who is played by Sally Field.

In a recent interview with E! Online, Jonas confirmed that he is passionate about acting and that fans can expect to see him in a variety of roles.

"I'm looking forward to doing more acting," he said. "I know everybody says this, but I want to be able to do everything. I won't be satisfied until I'm ready to do every kind of role - from a villain to a comedian."

Joe may be stretching his legs as an actor, but the singer says he is also working on new material.

"I'm writing a lot of music," he continued. "It's going really well. I've written about five songs with some of my friends in different bands and things like that. I love writing with musicians."
