American Idol star Adam Lambert has released a preview of his new single, "Voodoo," in a video on YouTube. The track is included on international releases of Lambert's debut album, For Your Entertainment, and according to the singer, should be available soon in the U.S.

The track was co-written by Sam Sparro, whose self-titled 2008 debut has sold more than 100,000 copies in the U.K. Lambert broke the news about the upcoming single release through Twitter last week.

"Song will be released soon in U.S. on WWFM & FYE Remix EP!" Lambert tweeted. "Check out VOODOO! Bonus track co-written w Sam Sparro appearing on international release of FYE. Turn it up."

One fan likely to pick up a copy of the new track is Olympic figure skating star Johnny Weir. Weir and Lambert paid each other mutual public compliments in recent months, with Weir most recently stating that he might borrow Lambert's style for a skating costume.

"I loved that," Weir told the L.A. Times in response to Lambert calling him a "trailblazer." "He respects me, and I definitely respect him. Maybe next, I'll throw on some dark black eyeliner and pull an Adam Lambert . . . The one that's on the radio all the time."
