Bob Dylan Reveals Details Of Asian Tour

Bob Dylan has announced the dates for his upcoming tour of Asia in April. The legendary singer-songwriter will kick off the tour with his first ever performance in Taiwan, scheduled for April 3 in Taipei.

Edie Chan of the Taipei-based Very Aspect Culture Group commented on the swift sale of Dylan tickets, which have been selling at prices up to $272.

"In the 24 hours since we started sales Monday, over 40 percent of the scheduled 10,000 tickets have been snatched up," he said in a statement.

Chen added that 400 tickets for sale at $27 sold out in 10 minutes. He notes that Dylan's popularity in Taiwan has consistently defied the trend of Western music losing market shares to Mandarin songs in the last 20 years.

The tour will also feature dates in Japan, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. It has not yet been confirmed whether Dylan will be playing in China.
