PERSONAL FINANCE: David Shucavage Of Carolina Estate Planners

In an interview with RTTNews, David Shucavage, president of Carolina Estate Planners, discusses how to plan your retirement income for unexpected expenses. Make "sure you have buffers in place of monies you can get at at anytime if you need them…Be sure you have a certain amount liquid in things like certificates of deposit or money markets that are readily at hand," says Shucavage.

Shucavage also advises that retirees "diversify between both taxable income & tax free income." This will help you hedge against rising taxes during the golden years.
