A new KISS tribute album is in the works to mark the band's 40th anniversary and also to help raise money for charity. The LP is being put together by music critic Mitch Lafon, and will be called World With Heroes. The album will feature a number of musicians re-creating classic KISS tracks.
All basic tracks were recorded by Eric Brittingham (Cinderalla) on bass, Jeff LaBar (Cinderalla) on guitar, and Troy Lucketta (Tesla) on drums.
Other artists to contribute include Don Dokken, Mark Tornillo (Accept), Terry Ilous (Great White), Bumblefoot (GNR) and many more.
World with Heroes is funded through a PledgeMusic campaign, which asks fans to pledge $25 in exchange for a pre-order of the CD. Fans can pledge more and receive things like a private guitar lesson with Firehouse's Bill Leverty via Skype.
