Australia will on Wednesday release Q2 figures for gross domestic product, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.
GDP is expected to add 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.4 percent on year following the 0.6 percent quarterly increase and the 2.5 percent yearly gain in the first quarter.
Australia also will see August results for the Performance of Service Index from AiG; in July, the index saw a score of 39.4.
China will provide August numbers for the HSBC/Markit Services PMI; in July, the index had a score of 51.3.
