Ed Sheeran stopped by Camden, London's Barfly for a surprise appearance before performing at Wembley Stadium on Thursday, July 9.

The venue was being headlined by Jamie Lawson, who was recently signed to Sheeran's new label, Gingerbread. Sheeran joined Lawson onstage to perform and later even played a few songs in the beer garden at the local Lock Tavern bar.

Footage of Sheeran's appearance at Barfly is now circulating on the web.

In a recent interview with Capital London Breakfast Show Sheeran revealed he was a bit nervous about playing at Wembley.

"The thing that freaks me out is someone said it's twice the size of Glastonbury. I'm going to namedrop for one second - I just got a call in the car from Elton John who was talking about the gig [tonight], and he was like 'How are you feeling about it?' and I was like 'I'm quite nervous, when was your first stadium?'"

Sheeran played three consecutive Wembley Stadium gigs from July 10-12.
