Radiohead Become Latest Favorites For James Bond Theme Song

According to oddsmakers William Hill, Radiohead are now the frontrunner for recording the theme song to the latest James Bond film. Hill suspended bets after getting a five figure wager from an anonymous customer.

The wager puts Radiohead ahead of Sam Smith, last week's favorite. Hill closed betting on the identity of the theme maker, after money came pouring in on Smith, who, in any case, said he thinks Ellie Goulding is supposed to make the record.

Speaking with the BBC, director Sam Mendes said the song is recorded and ready to go.

"I can say that the song's been recorded and it's fantastic and I'm very excited about it," he said. "You won't have to wait long."

Other names mentioned include Ed Sheeran and Adele, who recorded the previous Bond theme.

Spectre lands in theaters on October 26.
