Chris Brown has won 50/50 joint custody of his daughter Royalty.

According to TMZ, Brown went up against Royalty's mother Nia Guzman in a Houston courtroom as she wanted to deny him any custodial rights and only wanted to give him supervised visitation of their one-year-old baby. The judge for the case disagreed however, awarding Brown with 50/50 physical custody. Royalty will go back and forth every four days. Both Chris and Nia now live in Los Angeles.

"I think this was just a blessing in disguise with my daughter because I get a chance to look at her and teach her the right path and also be a father in my daughter's life," Brown told Ryan Seacrest. "Just to see a smile on her face—just to see the littlest things—is emotional for me, so I just love that aspect of being able to be a father now."
