Rathbone Brothers Q3 Underlying Net Operating Income Up 13.9%

Rathbone Brothers Plc. (RAT.L) reported that its underlying net operating income for the third quarter ended 30 September 2018 was 80.3 million pounds, up 13.9 percent from 70.5 million pounds in the year-ago period.

Total funds under management, including 6.7 billion pounds from Speirs & Jeffrey, were 47.3 billion pounds at 30 September 2018, up 18.5 percent from 39.9 billion pounds at 30 June 2018, or up 1.8 percent excluding the impact from the Speirs & Jeffrey acquisition.

This compared to a decrease of 1.7 percent in the FTSE 100 Index and an increase of 1.0 percent in the MSCI WMA Private Investor Balanced Index in the three months ended 30 September 2018.

Funds under management in Unit Trusts at 30 September 2018 were 6.0 billion pounds, up 3.4 percent from 5.8 billion pounds at 30 June 2018. Net inflows for the quarter were 121 million pounds, compared to 342 million pounds a year ago.

Net operating income of 9.5 million pounds for the three months ended 30 September 2018 was 18.8 percent higher than the 8.0 million pounds for the comparable period in 2017.
