Australia Performance Of Manufacturing Index Climbs To 52.5 - AiG

The manufacturing sector in Australia moved to expansion in January, the latest survey from the Australian Industry Group showed on Friday with a Performance of Manufacturing Index score of 52.5.

That's up from the stagnation point of 50.0 in December; a reading above indicates expansion and below means contraction.

Individually, production, employment, new orders, supplier deliveries, exports, sales, , input prices, selling prices, average wages and capacity utilization all were in expansion territory - while finished stock took a big hit and fell into contraction.
