India's April Exports Drop 33%

India's exports for the month of April 2009 dropped 33.2% to $10,743 million compared to $16076 million in April 2008, said the Ministry of Commerce & Industry in a release.

The country's imports during the month declined 36.6% to $15747 million from $24823 million.

The trade deficit for April 2009 was $5004 million compared to a deficit of $8747 million in the same month last year.
