OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. (OSIP) and Genentech Inc. (DNA) announced Monday morning that a Phase III study of Tarceva met a key secondary endpoint of extending overall survival in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer who received the drug immediately after initial chemotherapy.
OSI Pharmaceuticals Inc. gapped open sharply higher Monday and climbed further around the middle of the morning. Shares finished up by $2.39 at $30.83 and rose to over a one-month high.
