Electronics for Imaging Inc. (EFII) and its superwide format printer unit, VUTEk, said that they won a patent lawsuit against Leggett & Platt Inc. (LEG).
A federal judge ruled that all of the claims in Leggett & Platt or L&P's patent were invalid. The court concluded that EFI's UV curing methods were invented and patented before any of L&P's patents. As a result, the court invalidated L&P's patent.
