Con-Way Inc. (CNW) reported second quarter EPS of $0.64 after the close Thursday, down from the $1.02 posted last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.13.
Con-Way Inc. gapped up sharply Friday, but was range-bound for the majority of the session. Shares finished higher by $5.29 at $41.26 on the highest volume of the year. Con-Way climbed above a one-month range and set over a 9 1/2 month high.
