Plantronics Inc. (PLT) reported first quarter EPS of $0.36 after the close Tuesday, which exceeded the consensus estimate of $0.11. The company expects to report second quarter EPS between $0.27 and $0.32, which is above the consensus estimate of $0.19.
Plantronics gapped up Wednesday and climbed throughout the first hour of trade. The stock finished higher by $1.76 at $23.49. Plantronics has been gaining ground for the last 2 1/2 weeks and set a 10-month high.
