Rovi Corp. (ROVI) reported second quarter EPS of $0.38 after the close Thursday, which exceeded the consensus estimate of $0.28.
Rovi Corp. gapped up sharply Friday and climbed during the first hour of trade. Shares closed higher by $2.39 at $28.34. The stock broke out of a 3-week range and set a new high for the year.
