Syniverse Holdings (SVR) announced Tuesday morning that it signed a definitive agreement to acquire VeriSign Inc.'s (VRSN) messaging business for $175 million.
Syniverse Holdings rose sharply until around mid-morning Tuesday and finished up by $3.47 at $18.82 on the highest volume in 6 months. The stock closed challenging resistance, trading at over a 10-month high.
