Esterline Technologies Corp. (ESL) announced third quarter EPS of $1.09 after the close Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.90.
Esterline Technologies gapped up sharply Friday and climbed for the majority of the morning. Shares finished higher by $5.91 at $36.41 on the highest volume of the year. The stock surged to a 6 1/2 month high.
